How We Calculate Our Values
We use trait values and convert them to EFFECTIVE DPS, ranking weapons based on how much damage they could effectively deal.
Examples:
- •Rivalite's 20% crit chance boost is considered a 20% chance to deal 50% more damage, counted as a 10% DPS boost ON AVERAGE.
- •Defensive ores like Darkryte, Mithril, and Obsidian provide 15-30% boosts to defense EFFECTIVELY, so we factor them into armor calculations.
This ensures our ore combinations give you the absolute highest potential possible.
The best armor in The Forge is calculated using Darkryte and Obsidian (30% boost), or Darkryte and Magmaite (30% boost).
Frequently Asked Questions
How many ores do I need to forge?
You need a minimum of 3 ores to craft any item. The maximum is 50 ores per forge. More ores generally lead to higher stats but also require careful trait management.
What determines weapon damage?
Weapon damage is calculated based on ore composition percentages, the resulting multiplier, and active trait bonuses. Higher-tier ores like Obsidian and Mithril contribute more to damage.
How do traits activate?
Traits activate when their ore type represents at least 10% of your total composition. Multiple traits can be active simultaneously for powerful synergies.
